Since publishing our first corporate environmental stewardship report in 1994, we’ve continuously integrated responsible practices into every layer of our operations. From optimizing our data centers for energy efficiency, to adopting sustainable hardware sourcing and enabling remote work at scale, we’ve proven that innovation and impact can go hand in hand.

Corporate Social Responsibility
As part of Unisys's commitment to sustainable progress in the technology sector, our approach to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is grounded in accountability, innovation, and inclusivity. We recognize that technology shapes every facet of society—and with that influence comes responsibility.
Our CSR initiatives are designed to address the complex needs of our communities and our planet through:
- Ethical Innovation: Embedding responsible design and deployment practices across our products and services keeping in mind our initiative: Technology for Social Good.
- Environmental Stewardship: Reducing the footprint of our operations through energy-efficient data solutions, sustainable supply chains, environmental sustainability training, and circular IT practices.
- Social Empowerment: Expanding education and skill development through digital literacy, promoting STEM education, and enabling equitable access to technology for underserved communities.

ESG External Rating Organizations
As part of our environmental, social and governance efforts, Unisys has been recognized by external rating organizations that measure a company's resilience to long-term environmental, social and governance risks.
We received a B rating for our climate-related disclosures from CDP, the global standard bearer for corporate disclosure of carbon emissions, surpassing the IT and software industry average rating of C.
EcoVadis, a leading provider of business sustainability ratings—in this case, sustainable procurement— awarded our European entity, Unisys Europe Limited, its Silver rating, a recognition awarded to the Top 15% of companies assessed by EcoVadis.
Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), a preeminent North American proxy advisory service and ESG rating institution, awarded Unisys a Prime rating. Companies earn a Prime rating if their sustainability performance fulfills ISS’s ambitious absolute performance requirements.
Our efforts to achieve excellence in our ESG performance earned Unisys an A rating from MSCI, which provides data about long-term, material business risks to the global investment community. This increase from our previous BB rating reflects greater resilience to those risks.
